MANBILITY | TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Last updated: June 2026

1. DEFINITIONS

  • "We", "Us", "Our", "Manbility": Manbility LLP.

  • "You", "Your": any member, pay-as-you-go customer, or person named in a trip booking.

  • "Member" / "Membership": a person holding an active Manbility membership / the recurring subscription that provides it.

  • "Session": a Manbility training session, gym or outdoor.

  • "PAYG": pay-as-you-go session access, paid per session.

  • "Trip", "Retreat", "Expedition": any travel arrangement or multi-day event featured on our website.

  • "Supplier/Principal": the third-party provider of specific trip elements (e.g. accommodation or specialised activities).

2. HOW THESE TERMS APPLY

2.1 These terms cover everything we offer: membership, pay-as-you-go sessions, and trips, retreats and expeditions.

2.2 Section 3 (Membership) applies if you hold a membership. Section 4 (PAYG) applies if you pay per session. Section 5 (Trips) applies when you book a trip, retreat or expedition. Sections 6–11 apply to everyone.

2.3 If you are a member who books a trip, both the membership and trip sections apply to you.

2.4 Authority. Anyone joining, booking, or accepting these terms must be at least 18 years old and, where booking for others, authorised by every member of the party to accept these conditions on their behalf.

3. MEMBERSHIP

3.1 What membership includes. Every Saturday session (gym and outdoor), the monthly run club, the members-only community, the Manbility progression and patch system, early access and priority booking on expeditions and retreats, 15% off expedition and retreat pricing, and member pricing on socials and events.

3.2 Founding membership. Founding members pay £490 per year or £49 per month and keep that founding rate for as long as their membership remains active and continuous. If a founding membership is cancelled and later restarted, it restarts at the standard rate then in effect (currently £59 per month). After the founding window closes, standard membership is £59 per month.

3.3 Recurring billing. Membership is a recurring subscription processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card details. Annual memberships renew automatically each year on your renewal date; monthly memberships renew automatically each month. By subscribing you authorise us, via Stripe, to charge your payment method on each renewal until you cancel. We email a receipt for each payment and a reminder before an annual renewal.

3.4 Cancellation. You can cancel at any time through your Stripe customer portal at [PORTAL LINK], or by emailing contact@manbility.co.uk. When you cancel, your membership remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, does not renew after that, and you will not be charged again.

3.5 Price changes. We may change the price of standard and future memberships on reasonable notice. Founding members' rates are protected as set out in 3.2.

3.6 Refunds. Monthly memberships are not refunded for the current month; cancellation simply stops future renewals. Annual memberships may be cancelled at any time to prevent renewal, and the annual fee is non-refundable once the membership term has begun, except (a) within 14 days of first purchase, where we will refund on request as a goodwill cooling-off period, or (b) where a refund is required by law.

3.7 Cooling-off. Membership gives immediate access to sessions and the community. By joining you agree the service starts straight away and acknowledge that, aside from the 14-day goodwill period in 3.6, you lose the automatic statutory 14-day cancellation right once the service has begun.

3.8 Community channels. The members-only group runs on third-party platforms (e.g. WhatsApp), which have their own terms. Content shared in member-only spaces is for members and should not be shared externally without permission.

4. PAY-AS-YOU-GO SESSIONS

4.1 PAYG lets you attend individual sessions at our standard rates without a membership. PAYG does not include the progression system, the members-only community, or expedition and retreat discounts.

4.2 PAYG sessions are booked and paid per session. Session health and safety is covered by Section 6.

5. TRIPS, RETREATS & EXPEDITIONS

5.1 Booking and contract. A binding contract exists as soon as we issue your Booking Invoice. By booking, you accept these terms and those of the specific Supplier/Principal. We act as an agent for Suppliers and also as a Package Organiser where we bundle services. You must check your Booking Invoice immediately; we are not liable for inaccuracies not reported in writing within 7 days of issue.

5.2 Payments and pricing. A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, and your spot is not secured until it is received. The full balance must be paid by the due date provided; late payment may result in cancellation by the Supplier and the application of cancellation fees. We reserve the right to alter advertised prices, and for international trips the final balance may be subject to currency conversion rates at the time of final payment.

5.3 Cancellation by you. Cancellations must be sent by email to contact@manbility.co.uk and are only effective when received by us. Standard cancellation charges:

  • 45 days or more before departure: loss of deposit (or 30% of total trip cost, whichever is greater).

  • 44 days or less before departure: 100% of total trip cost.

Certain trips (e.g. those involving non-refundable flights) may carry higher cancellation fees, which you will be advised of at booking. We reserve the right to charge an administration fee of £65 for any change requested after the invoice has been issued.

5.4 Cancellation or changes by us. If a trip fails to reach its minimum group size 14 days before departure, we will cancel and provide a full refund. We prioritise safety and may alter itineraries for weather without refund; if weather makes a trip entirely unsafe, we will offer a reschedule or credit. If we cancel a trip, we are not responsible for costs incurred for independent travel arrangements (flights, trains, etc.) — we strongly recommend flexible travel bookings.

5.5 Insurance. You must take out suitable travel insurance at the time of booking, covering cancellation, medical emergencies, and the specific activities included in your trip.

6. HEALTH, SAFETY & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

This section applies to sessions, PAYG, and trips alike.

6.1 Health disclosure. You must provide full details of any medical conditions or disabilities — at the time of booking a trip, and to our coaches before taking part in any session. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking or participation where an activity is not suitable for your medical requirements.

6.2 Inherent risk. You acknowledge that physical training, adventure sports and expeditions carry inherent risks. You take part voluntarily and at your own risk. Manbility assumes no liability for injury or death occurring while participating in session or trip activities, save as set out in Section 9. Nothing we provide is medical advice.

6.3 Behaviour. If your behaviour is dangerous, abusive, or disruptive to others, we or the Supplier may suspend or terminate your participation, membership, or trip immediately and without refund.

6.4 Damage. You are liable for any damage caused by you or your party to property. Payment for trip-related damage must be made directly to the Supplier/Principal at the time.

6.5 Travel to site. We are not responsible for your travel to a session or trip starting point. Car-sharing with others is done entirely at your own risk.

7. DATA PROTECTION (UK GDPR)

7.1 We process your personal data (including, for trips, sensitive health data) in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Full detail is in our Privacy & Cookie Policy.

7.2 Information is shared with Suppliers/Principals and our service providers only as necessary to deliver your membership or trip. By booking a trip, you consent to us sharing relevant information with insurers or medical staff in an emergency.

8. FORCE MAJEURE

We will not be liable for compensation where our obligations are affected by "Force Majeure" — events beyond our control such as warfare, terrorism, significant risks to human health (e.g. pandemic outbreaks), natural disasters, or industrial disputes.

9. OUR LIABILITY

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under law. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss or damage that is not a foreseeable result of our breach, or that arises from your own failure to follow safety instructions or to disclose a relevant health condition.

10. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version, with its "last updated" date, will always be posted here, and we'll tell members about any significant change.

11. LAW AND JURISDICTION

These terms are governed by English Law, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
